UGRR

I think this may be my FAVORITE quilt. I used a kit from QIAD and the fabrics are just perfect.

wow, Ann, this is beautiful! And a kit! I really didn't expect a kit to be so striking!

Edit to add: Ann, was the borde included in the kit, or did you pick it??? It really "makes" the quilt!

The border was included in the kit. QIAD kits are so nice - and generous. I have enough of the fabric left over to practically make all the 6" blocks as well. Picking the fabrics is the hardest part for me, so I love it when I can get a kit. I know that for lots of us, picking fabric is the favorite part - but it's so hard for me. I am not an artist!

The UGRR was my first-ever sampler quilt, and I loved it so much that I am working on a Pioneer Sampler now - also a QIAD kit.

I had posted this photo before in the Photo section, but thought we should put our QIAD pattern quilts here, too.

And, yes, it is for me!! My DH wants to hang it on the wall in the lving room.

Ann, I keep coming back to look at this quilt...it is gorgeous! I, too, struggle with fabric choices! (And I took Art classes all through high school and did some painting, drawing, etc...but I think that adds to my problem! lol!).
I agree with your DH...I think it needs to be displayed where everyone can enjoy it!!
