sizing up quilt pattern

Post by o2bquiltcrazy » Sun Mar 09, 2014 4:19 pm

I would like to make this quilt for a king size bed but am unsure how to go about it. I was just going to add rows and columns following the given pattern to add up to approximately a 110" X 116" finished quilt size. I was curious if you would suggest a wider border to offset the larger size of the quilt?

Usually, borders are wider on bigger quilts, but you would still want to add additional pieced blocks to make the quilt for a king size bed! It should not be too difficult to add additional rows to this pattern.
