My 2

Post by Oasis » Wed Mar 31, 2010 3:24 am

The yellow/orange quilt was made for El's "Merryman" project, a women's shelter in Paducah. It was my first try with this pattern and I found it to be a lot easier than it looks. The pastel blue quilt was a gift for a friend with lung cancer for her chemo treatments.

This is the most fun pattern:

This picture shows how you cut strips, then use El's special ruler (enclosed with the book) to cut diagonally. Then just stitch the units together. The color possibilities are up to your imagination. So much fun!

Lovely quilts......i have only had a quick go at this pattern after getting the book and ruler and I LOVE it........so so simple and yet so effective looking and i just love that depending on how many fabrics and strips you use you get such different looking quilts, PLUS the things you can make from the extras you cut off.....its awesome.....my friend has already asked me to make her a quilt for her new sofa using this pattern

I like your quilts. The blue is a serene color for your ill friend. A good choice.

I've got this book, but haven't had time to try it out yet. One of these days . . .

I love this pattern and can't wait to make another one! I had fun with the bonus quilts, too! It's ever so much simpler than it looks!!! I think about anyone could make it with stunning results.

It's amazing how different they look because of the fabrics. Great job on both. Lori
