Winning Hand or Card Trick

Post by carole » Tue Mar 30, 2010 7:12 pm

I made this quilt for my husband and it turned out beautiful. Your directions were so easy to follow. I did this at a quilt camp and all the other campers could not believe that it would turn out to be a card trick. They were all very impressed and said that they would use your pattern/book when they make one in the future.

This was the first QIAD pattern I made and the first quilt I made on my own. It came out really nice and was given to my mom.

This was my first pattern from QIAD. I made at least 2 of them. One for my son, and it survived a tornado, with some damage and one for my parents. The second one is in much better shape. It's a very simple pattern, and I was surprised how quickly it went together. I remember being very nervous when I started it. I would read and reread the instructions ans quilt making was very new to me. LOL It turned out great and I would make more of this one. It brings a warm fuzzy feeling when I see the book. It was the first quilt I completed.

Not yet, I still have to put the final touches on the binding. Although I can't put pictures on this site. I am just not computer literate. But maybe I will try when I get the binding done. I quilted it myself - DH picked out the pattern he wanted quilted on it. But on the border I quilted a smaller version of the card trick itself. It turned out nice.
